Kendra Omlid ![]() |
Bio: Kendra Omlid lived in Germany with a host family for a year in high school and later studied abroad at the University of Hamburg for a semester. She also organized and led seminars for high school exchange students in Germany . She is a co-sponsor of the LHS International Club.

Bio: Genie Rys lived in Spain for two years and returns to Spain when possible. She has taught Spanish at kindergarten through college levels as well as ESL at the high school level. Deanna Dykstra ![]() |
Bio: Deanna K. Dykstra earned her B.A.
and M.A. in Spanish from CSU. She taught at South Dakota State

John Parks ![]() |
Bio: “Profe” Parks has lived
in Ecuador, Mexico, and Spain. He has taught Spanish, English,
and French at high school, junior high, and to adult learners.
Before that, he led bicycle tours throughout Europe and the
American West. He is very pleased to be teaching here at LHS,
as he is passionate about Spanish and engaging the minds of
high school learners. He is also the Chess Club sponsor. Courses: Spanish I |
