Language Day State Competitions were held April 16, 2008. This day included competitions, workshops, and many other language activities in which high school students from around the state participated. Here are the results for the LHS teams:

German IV- cultural play: 3rd place
Spanish IV- cultural play: 1st place
French IV/V- cultural play: 1st place
French III - original skits: 1st place
French individual talent: 2nd place
French II - Show and Tell: 2nd place
French I - Who am I?: 2nd place
French V- Extemporaneous Speaking: 1st place
Art: 2nd place
French IV- video commercials: 1st place and 2nd place
