Doug Schneiter

Bio: Doug Schneiter has been in the department since 1993. He teaches the construction classes and the upper level drafting curriculum. He also teaches the college level drafting classes offered in conjunction with Aims Community College .

He keeps busy with his wood turning and is an active manager of the Rocky Mountain Wood Turners Club. Mr. Schneiter holds a BS in Industral Arts from the Univeristy of Northern Iowa and a MS in Construction and Drafting from the Colorado Dempartment of Education. Mr. Schneiter is an active member of the Colorado Technology Education Association.

Courses:Technical Drawing, Architectural Drawing, Invention and Design, and Construction I & II

Mr. Schneiter coaches the LHS Girl's Golf team.

Scott Burke
Department Head

Scott Burke joined the department in the Fall of 2001. He heads the Transportation Lab. He teaches Invention and Design and a Beginning electronics class. He is the faculty coordinator for the Industrial Tech Club which meets two afternoons a week in the Auto Lab. Scott is also a member of the Technology Committee.

Mr. Burke holds a BS in Technology Education and Training and a minor in Construction management from CSU. Mr. Burke also has a MED in Educational management from CSU and the Colorado Department of Education. He holds his Colorado Vocational Credentials in Construction, Drafting , and Vocational Instruction. He is also president-elect for Colorado Technology Education Association.

Mr. Burke is also the two time recipient of the Thompson Education Foundation Creativity Grant, and he and Mr. Moore received a Colorado Tech. Prep. grant to offer the new Geometry Construction Class.

Tom Moore
Mr. Moore is an honorary member of the Industrial Tech Dept. He holds a CDE Vocational Credential in Construction and Building Trades. He has a BS in math from University of Arkansas.
He is the recipient of the Thompson Education Foundation Grant for Geometry in Construction.

Mr. Moore is the sponsor for the Ski and Board Club and the Knowledge Bowl Team. He has been teaching for 26 years.
