| Counselor | I have been at LHS since 2007. After receiving my counseling degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, I worked for 3 years as an elementary school counselor and then worked for 4 years. as a middle school counselor in Virginia. I also was an adjunct instructor for the University of Virginia’s College at Wise. Prior to starting my family, I received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and taught elementary school for several years. I have a daughter, Katie, who just graduated from college and lives in Chicago and a son, Drew, who graduated from high school this past spring and attends Rollins College in Florida. The newest edition to my family is Bailey (pictured). In my spare time, I enjoy my dogs, walking, running, hiking, reading, floral design, gardening, and cooking. |

"I am excited to begin my second year at Loveland High School. After spending last year in both the counseling office and Career Center, I look forward to working with a new group of LHS students. I earned my BA at the University of Michigan and MA in school counseling at Michigan State University. Since the move west, I have thoroughly enjoyed a new lifestyle in Colorado. My professional interests include career advising and college preparation. Outside of school, I enjoy playing golf, cooking, traveling, and listening to live music. " |

I am in my 10th year at Loveland High School and my 33rd year in education as an educator and counselor. I hold a BA in Social Science and Special Needs--Hearing Impaired from UNC along with my MA in Education in Counseling and Guidance from CSU. Currently, I coordinate the International Baccalaureate program for the district with my focus on the Diploma Programme. I am one of those rare creatures in Colorado who is actutally a Native of Colorado. I was born and raised in the Denver area, lived in Buena Vista, and then came to Loveland. Assignment:IB |
