Jami Robinson, Art Department Chair Masters of Education in Education Leadership CSU - 2007 BA in Mathematics, emphasis in secondary education UNC - 1992 Dual Teacher Certification: Mathematics (Secondary), Art (K-12), Principal Licensure Jami (Paris) Robinson is a graduate of LHS and has taught at Loveland High since 1994. Jami taught mathematics courses ranging from pre-algebra to AP Calculus from 1994 until 2000. In 2000, she worked to gain her credentials to be able to teach her first love- Art. She has worked as an art teacher since that time. She is currently working to provide an educational leadership role to her fellow colleagues. When asked about the combination of math and art she admittedly believes that in this age of transition it is more important than ever to be well rounded as an individual. Jami told me, "I believe it is essential that educators become a role model for our students." She continued by saying,"we are in an age where communication across the globe is opening new doors and changing the jobs that are available in the workforce. It is imperative to our future generations that educators, above all other occupations, realize and address that students are going to need a strong educational base that encompasses a wider array of subjects and abilities to keep up. The need for critical and, yes, creative thinking is essential." Courses: Drawing I and II, Painting |
