Girls’ Golf Results
The LHS Girls’ Golf Team won another tournament last Friday, May 3 in Greeley with Raquell C. taking second place by shooting a 79. Kelsey P. and Aubrey D. tied for sixth place with 82’s, Aubrey S. was also a part of the team.

The girls’ golf team was successful yesterday, Tuesday, May 7, at Regionals in qualifying players into the State Tournament. Kelsey is going for her third straight year, and Aubrey qualified for her first trip to State. Raquell is the first alternate, so hopefully will join her teammates in Grand Junction for the State Meet on May 20 and 21.

Varsity and Jr. Varsity Winter Guards Placed at National Regional
Congratulations to our varsity and junior varsity winter guards. Junior varsity placed 2nd in national regional A class and varsity are the national scholastic A state champions. Let’s help support the varsity team on their trip to Dayton, Ohio for national competition. If you are interested in color guard, please come join us for color guard clinics April 29, 30, and May 1 from 6-9 PM.

Girls’ Golf Team Places 3rd at Skyline Invite
Your LHS Girls’ Golf Team placed 3rd out of 21 teams at the Skyline Invite on Monday. Kelsey took 4th place after shooting a 79. Raquell placed 10th with a 81. Aubrey D. at 89, and Aubrey S. shooting 99, completed the team. Great job girls!

Jr. Varsity and Varsity Winter Guard Placed First at Invitational
Congratulations to the LHS Junior Varsity and Varsity Winter guards on their first place finishes in their respective divisions at the Loveland Invitational this past Saturday, Mar. 2. The Varsity guard is currently undefeated and on their way to Nationals!

Dalton Weis Placed 3rd in State
LHS wrestler Dalton Weis placed 3rd in state. Congratulations, Dalton!

Track and Field Practice Starts Monday, Feb. 25
Track and Field practice officially begins for athletes NOT involved in winter sports on Monday, Feb. 25 at 3:22 p.m. in the wrestling room. Make sure to get your clearance cards in! Those currently involved in winter sports or attempting to compete in multiple spring sports, please see Coach Q in Room 405 to arrange your start date and workout schedules. Loveland High has won 5 state and 14 conference titles since the year 2000! We are looking for a few good men and women to be the next great team! Go Indians!

Girls Golf Practice Starts Monday, March 4
Needless to say, there won’t be golf practice this week due to the weather. If you can get up to Golf Dynamics this week to get ready for next week, that would be great. We will plan on starting next Monday, March 4. See Coach Schneiter if you have any questions.

Boys Swim and Dive Pre-Season Sessions
Boys Swim and Dive is offering a chance to try the team. We are holding pre-season sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:15-4:30 at the pool for the next 2 weeks. The Swim coach and the Dive coach will help you during the pre-season sessions.
 
Girls Winter Indoor Soccer
Any girl who is interested in playing indoor soccer during the winter season, please see Mr. Coley in room 322.

Girls Softball Wins 5A State Championship
Congratulations, Lady Indian Softball team. They defeated Cherokee Trail, Grandview, Legacy and Dakota Ridge to win the Class 5A state championships this past Saturday! Your Indians ended the 5 year reign of Legacy as the state champions and can now place themselves as the best softball team in the state for 2012. Please come to the last home football game this Friday evening to honor and recognize this amazing team.
