Wendy Thompson, Department Head
Wendy Thompson taught at LHS for several years. She teaches Health, Fitness, Women's Weights, Self-Defense, and Aerobics. She is an energetic, and compassionate teacher and enjoys her occupation. Outside of school, Wendy spends time with her husband,son and daughter, doing various outdoor activities. She also practices martial arts and photography in her spare time. 970-613-5242 Chris Michael has been teaching Physical Education and Health for several years. Three of these have been teaching Personal Fitness, Net Sports and Individual Sports at Loveland High School. Chris also coaches basketball and is on various committees. Chris is very passionate about physical education and the importance of activity in the lives of his students. Outside of school Chris is very active. He enjoys a variety of activities ranging from tennis to fly-fishing. He also is a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates, so he watches a lot of baseball with his son, Cameron, his trusty statistician. Matt Engelking 970-613-7153 Matt Engelking taught physical education and health for 6 years in Phoenix, Az. He is currently teaching Health, Individual Sports, Team Sports, Fitness, and Study Hall. Matt also coaches football and wrestling. He is very excited to return home to Colorado and becoming associated with the LHS outstanding physical education program. Outside of school Matt is very active with his two sons. He enjoys a variety of activities including fishing, boating and the outdoors.
